This easy-to-use two-page document produced by the Sadin Institute lists the major health and income programs potentially available to older adults in New York and describes the benefits provided, eligibility criteria, income and resource limits, and resources for accessing benefits. The Checklist is updated annually.
Brookdale does not provide direct services around guardianship. Those wishing to become guardians can take our Article 81 Guardianship Training. Other local resources around guardianship for family guardians, attorneys, and service providers are also available.
Brookdale does not provide any direct legal services, but a range of local resources for obtaining legal support for older adults and for reporting elder abuse are available for attorneys, providers, older adults, and family caregivers.
