Supported Decision-Making

The National Resource Center for Supported Decision-Making recently awarded Brookdale a grant to develop and pilot a brief training on supported decision-making around financial decisions for persons with developmental disabilities, persons with psychiatric disabilities; and persons with cognitive decline. The training will be piloted with front-line service workers serving older adults. This research should enhance the capacity of workers to assess and intervene appropriately with clients who might benefit from supported decision-making. Results from this project should be available within the next year.
