An article in Next Avenue (March 6) on the effect of HIV on aging, by John-Manuel Andriote, quoted senior research scientist Mark Brennan-Ing on the spectrum of older adults’ experiences. Brennan-Ing warned against assuming a course of “accelerated aging” and emphasized the resilience often demonstrated by people who are aging with HIV.
