In commemoration of Pride Month, the New York City Council Committees on Aging and Women & Gender Equity held a hearing on June 21 on “Challenges Facing LGBTQ+ Older Adults.” Mark Brennan-Ing, Brookdale’s director of research and evaluation, testified on challenges faced by older New Yorkers living with HIV. Their testimony underscored the importance of sexual health education and behavioral health services to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
