Executive director Ruth Finkelstein traveled to San Sebastián, Spain, to deliver a talk at the Basque government’s annual Employment Congress on October 27. The event, “Transforming Basque Employment Policies for Decent Jobs in a Sustainable and Competitive Economy,” was hosted by the Governance Programme of the Department of Labour and Employment. More than two dozen experts tackled topics such as public employment policy, equal opportunities, and barriers to quality employment, speaking to an invited audience of more than 100 people in the public and private employment sectors.
Dr. Finkelstein’s presentation examined the reframing of aging, the demographic challenge of labor replacement, and how much older people have to offer.
