In response to the escalating need for training and workforce development in aging services, Brookdale has contracted with LiveOn NY, a coalition of nonprofit organizations that help older New Yorkers thrive in their communities, to conduct workshops on benefits counseling, including changes that are expected to result from federal policies and state and local responses to those policies.

This comprehensive training initiative will equip professionals with essential knowledge and skills to help older New Yorkers. Benefit Access & Financial Security 101 workshops will cover housing- and food-related assistance programs, including critical timely updates and working with older beneficiaries. LiveOn NY will also conduct core training for new directors of older adult centers on managing budgets and reporting, providing services, and benefits counseling.
