The American Psychological Association (APA) published its 2024 update of, “APA Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Older Adults,” which was approved by the APA Council of Representatives in February 2024. Mark Brennan-Ing, Brookdale’s director of research and evaluation, was a member of the working group which reviewed and updated this publication. The Guidelines are intended for psychologists to use in assessing their capacity to work with older people. For more information, please see the press release by APA.
