Brennan-Ing discusses implicit age bias in service settings at On Aging 2025

Dr. Mark Brennan-Ing, director of research and evaluation at Brookdale, co-presented a workshop  with JaDawn Wright and J.B. DelRosario from the University of California San Francisco, Department of Family and Community Medicine, on implicit age bias in aging services. The workshop was conducted on April 24 at the American Society on Aging’s On Aging 2025 Conference in Orlando, FL. The  session examined the nature of implicit bias, the impact of ageism on health and service utilization, and how implicit bias manifests in service settings using the COVID-19 pandemic and sexual health in older adults as illustrations. The workshop ended with audience members sharing and discussing how implicit age bias could affect their service provision.
