Director of research and evaluation Mark Brennan-Ing presented a poster on Nov. 14 at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting and Expo in Atlanta. The project aimed to understand the prevalence of COVID-19 symptoms and their impact on quality of life among members of a Medicaid managed care plan and explore differences between study participants with and without HIV.
Race/ethnicity and HIV serostatus were not associated with long COVID, but people with inadequate incomes and health comorbidities were more likely to experience long COVID.
