Mark Brennan-Ing testified before the Congressional HIV/AIDS Caucus and Congressional LGBTQ+ Equality Caucus in commemoration of World AIDS Day. The testimony on December 5 was part of an HIV & aging policy briefing given by SAGE, a national advocacy and services organization.
Dr. Brennan-Ing reiterated the importance of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy’s goal to identify and implement best practices related to addressing the psychosocial and behavioral health needs of older people with HIV and long-term survivors. They provided numerous recommendations for reaching this goal, based on Brookdale’s extensive research on aging with HIV.
