Brookdale’s director of strategic policy initiatives, christian gonzález-rivera, has been selected as a member of the steering committee of the New York City Inclusive Growth Initiative (IGI).
The goal of the initiative is to develop a comprehensive, intersectional agenda for making economic development in New York more inclusive. Comprising 20 members who represent the diversity of New York City, the steering committee will be responsible for communicating this agenda to candidates for public office in the 2021 election, as well as incoming city leaders, and advocating for implementation once these leaders are seated.
The IGI is convened by a coalition of the New York City Employment and Training Coalition, the Association for Neighborhood and Housing Development, and the Regional Plan Association.
