In advance of the 2024 reauthorization of the Older Americans Act, U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand invited Brookdale executive director Ruth Finkelstein and director of strategic policy initiatives christian gonzález-rivera to join 30 aging experts from around the state to provide recommendations on how the Older Americans Act should be improved. The Older Americans Act is a main source of federal funding for social services for older adults across the nation.
