Several Brookdale staff members presented papers and posters at the Gerontological Society of America Annual Scientific Meeting in Tampa, Florida, Nov. 8–12, 2023.
The symposium presentations were “Informal Support Networks and Loneliness in Older Women Living with HIV,” by Jasmine Manalel, senior research associate, and “The Impact of Aging on Attitudes Toward Weight Change and Body Image Among Adults Living with HIV,” by Jennie Kaufman, senior research associate, and Yiyi Wu, research associate. Director of research and evaluation Mark Brennan-Ing was the discussant for the latter symposium.
Jasmine Manalel also presented a poster, “Aging with HIV: Association of ART Type and Adherence with Viral Suppression,” and Yiyi Wu presented “The Experiences of Older Chinese Immigrants During COVID-19 in New York City.”
