Ruth Finkelstein, Rose Dobrof Executive Director of the Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging since 2018, is stepping down to teach and conduct research as a Hunter College faculty member in the School of Health Health Professions. Dr. Finkelstein will continue her affiliation with Brookdale as a senior fellow and principal investigator on two ongoing projects. Her contact information will remain the same.
Starting August 28, 2026, Mark Brennan Ing will become the acting Rose Dobrof Executive Director at Brookdale. Dr. Brennan Ing has been with Brookdale since 2017, and has served as director of research and evaluation since 2021. A leader in the fields of aging with HIV and sexual and gender minority aging, Dr. Brennan Ing is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and the American Psychological Association. They served as a member of the GSA advisory board on ageism and health care and the Lancet HIV Commission on Ageing and HIV and are a past-President and current board member of the State Society on Aging of New York. Dr. Brennan Ing is a co-director of the HIV and Aging Scientific Working Group of the Einstein–Rockefeller–CUNY–Mount Sinai Center for AIDS Research (CFAR).
