Brookdale’s professional staff engages with students in the classroom and through practica and internship opportunities.

Dr. Ruth Finkelstein, executive director, has an appointment as a professor at Hunter College’s School of Urban Public Health. Courses taught:

• Grant Writing for Public Health (capstone course)
• Aging Policy
• Health Policy and Politics

Dr. Mark Brennan-Ing, director of research and evaluation, has served as a proctor for the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing’s Graduate Program.

Policy director christian gonzález-rivera is a 2022 Grove Leader for the Eva Kastan Grove Fellowship Program at Roosevelt House.
